LOCAL DEALERSHIP MAKES A SLAM DUNK SPONSORING LOCAL YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE

Chris Leith Chevrolet Donates over $1,500 in Cash and Sports equipment to Town of Rolesville Parks and Recreation Department

Chris Leith Chevrolet is one of 25 Chevrolet dealers from the Raleigh-area that partnered with local youth basketball leagues helping to raise close to $11,800 in total donations from the dealerships and private parties in the area. During the 2009-2010 basketball season, Town of Rolesville Parks and Recreation Department received both monetary and equipment donations as well as the opportunity to raise up to $10,000 through a unique fundraiser.

Chris Leith Chevrolet partnered with Town of Rolesville Parks and Recreation Department because of the league’s proximity to the dealership. Over the course of the season, Chris Leith Chevrolet donated team equipment kits, which included equipment bags, practice jerseys, coaches’ clipboards, scorebooks and t-shirts, while also making a cash donation to Town of Rolesville Parks and Recreation Department. Offering additional support, the dealership donated a vehicle, which was given away through the Chevy Youth Basketball Fundraiser Opportunity. This fundraiser allowed participating leagues to raise money through ticket sales, and one lucky person won a car for supporting the youth league in their area. Leagues like Town of Rolesville Parks and Recreation Department kept one hundred percent of the proceeds raised, and they can use the funds in any way they choose. The winning ticket for the Chevy Youth Basketball Fundraiser Opportunity was purchased by Lucille Frazier of Oxford, NC. She purchased her winning ticket from Oxford Parks and Recreation Department.

“We are thrilled to contribute to Town of Rolesville Parks and Recreation Department and have really enjoyed partnering with them this season,” said Johnny Dudley, of Chris Leith Chevrolet. “Sponsoring Town of Rolesville Parks and Recreation Department gave us the opportunity to help them raise much-needed funds and show our commitment toward supporting the youth and families in the Wake Forest/Rolesville community. “ We’re glad to have achieved such positive outcomes for the community through the Chevy Youth Basketball program.”
